Good Morning! Happy Fri-Yay! Today is E-Day and we have Art. We have completed another week of distance learning! Wooo Hoooo! Let's get up and dance! Can't wait to see you at our Reading Group Zoom today! Below is your work for the day.

Parents please screenshot and send me the following:

  1. spelling test

  2. proper noun worksheets

  3. antonyms worksheet


First, Log onto Pearson and take Week 5 Balanced online test. It will let you listen to the story. Then it will ask you some comprehension questions. You do not need to do question 7 or 8- but if you would like to try them you can! Just submit the test with 7 and and 8 not answered. Also, don't forget some questions have two parts. Look closely before you go to the next question.

Next, read aloud the Star Student keep book from past weeks. Practice reading for fluency.

Last, log onto EPIC and read a book from your mailbox. If you don’t have anything in your mailbox assigned from me, pick a good. Remember to log your books onto your reading log!


Phonics-

First print aw/au word cards. If you don’t have a printer you can just write them on small pieces of paper. Hang the aw/au words around your house. Let you child walk around to find aw/au words. Once your child has found the word, write it in the correct column and take the word down. Continue this process until all 12 words have been found and written.


Next, you will be making words with aw/au. Parents please use your red reading journal and have your child write various (at least 10) aw/au words on a whiteboard or piece of paper. Remind them to sound out the words slowly to hear all the sounds. You can help your child by telling him/her which aw/au sound is being used.

Last, have a grown up give you the spelling test.

Writing- Assessment on Proper Nouns

Sight words/ Word Wall Review- Watch the video. Try to read the sight words before the video does!

Word Study- review antonyms. Then complete Miss Nelson Antonym page

Math-Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment. We are starting Topic 19. Do lesson 19 lesson 4. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Don’t skip any of the parts! Do the workbook page along with lesson 19-4
