First Listen to the book Possum Magic. In the story Poss became invisible. Would you like to be invisible? Why or why not. Give 3 reasons to support your answer. Your story should look similar to this:

I would/would not like to be invisible.

Last I would/would not want to be invisible because______.

These are the reasons why I would/would not like to be invisible.

Phonics/Spelling -

First take out your Red reading journal. Re-read your /ie/ /i-e/ and /igh/ words. Then highlight the long i words in the sentences.

Then complete page 469 in the Readers and Writers notebook.

Optional- If you and your child are tired of sitting in front of the screen take the /igh/ spelling words and the word wall words. Write them on small pieces of paper or note cards. Then hide them around the house. Have your child go on a word hunt to find the words. Then have them read them to you. We do this in my class so the activity is familiar to them.

Math- (Topic 14-13) Log into pearsonsuccessnet.com to complete the math assignment. It is topic 14 lesson13. Please watch the video, do the guided practice and take the quiz. Don’t skip any of the parts! Then go to your math workbook and do lesson 14-13.

Word Wall Words- complete the word wall activity on IXL. It will be under teacher suggested activities.

Spelling- Use your last 5 spelling words in sentences. Remember to include adjectives!

Social Studies-

Read student magazine Lesson 3 called Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chavez Day
