First, watch If You Were a Synonym

Synonyms Task Cards Set 2.pdf

Next, complete synonyms task cards. (set 2)

There are two ways you can complete this activity.

1.Print synonym task cards and hang them around house. Your student can find the task card with a grown up. Students should answer the task cards as you go, taking them down and circling the correct answer. Parents please make sure they are answering correctly.

2.If you do not want to print the task cards you can simply download the file and complete it online. Please make sure your child is finding the correct synonym.

Last, play a game using the synonyms list from your Red reading journal. Parents give the students a word. Students see if you can think of a synonym pair. For example: Parent says fast. Student can say quick. Practice some synonym pairs together.
