Here is the list of observable situations to allow you to evaluate your Organization
This grid corresponds to version 11.2 for which we have changed the vocabulary to make it accessible to all actors at Decathlon (stores, warehouses, factories, brands & services).
To reach a level (A/B/C/D), all the observable situations of the level must be fulfilled.
If none of the observable situations are applied, it means that you have the level E.
Everything in red indicates the people involved in the action.
Everything written in bold black corresponds to the important points of the action.
❶ The Top Leader understands what is a Gemba walk.
❷ During those walks, the Top Leader adapts the right behaviours : respect, observation, listening, exchange, show real interest, practical.
❸ There is a fixed frequency to go on the field.
❹ The Top Leader detects improvement opportunities, decides corrective actions and animates current priorities.
❺ There is a formalized standard to efficiently conduct the Gemba Walk.
❸ Fixed frequency: at least in a monthly basis
❶ The Top Leader coaches her/his teams towards more autonomy (what are the problems they detected, why it is a problem, their actions plans, priority they focus, decisions they took, ...)
❷ All leaders have duplicated the Gemba Walk practice with :
- right behavior
- fixed frequency
- detection of improvements
- formalized process
❸ There is a formalized standard to efficiently conduct the Gemba Walk (evidence needed).
