❶ There are indicators to follow-up materials availability (quantity, quality) and material wastes.

❷ There is an IQC (Incoming Quality Control) at the entrance of the organization.

❸ Any stock or W.I.P. (Incoming Warehouse, Finished Good Warehouse, stock between process or departments/ Production Lines) are locally identified and quantified. 

❶ An Enterprise Resource Planning system is in place to manage the stocks of components, semi-finish, finish goods. 

❷ Data in the ERP match with the inventory on site. 

❸ There is a purchasing policy for chemicals (list of approved chemicals that are allowed on site)

❹ Quality controllers guarantee the quality via IQC, IPQC and FQC. These are done according to a fixed or dynamic frequency.

❺  Reject rate and shortage rate (advance / late) are measured, and pareto of quality problems is done. 

❶ Internally new tools or methods will be developed (Jigs, Poka-yoke, new process,...) to improve quality controls efficiencies.

❷ Proposals are made to the customers to improve materials consumption (B.O.M. and consumable items) (e.g. design-to-cost, ....)
