Dear CAO Students and Families,

Welcome to the final week of the first semester. Our lab supervisors will be opening content assessments Monday through Friday from 8:00-3:00 p.m. Teachers will be available, in their classrooms, Tuesday and Wednesday, to help students finish strong.

All students are invited to participate in the Academic Showcase and Expo, on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  Students will choose one project to present and earn 5% extra credit. Here is the link to sign up to participate: https://goo.gl/forms/72SNC8yQsxnMh8672

Classical Academy Online will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to the finals week schedule. However, students can continue to work on focus areas, additional focus areas, and challenge focus areas through Friday at 3:00 p.m.

Seniors are invited to participate in the Senior Class Picture, at CAHS, on Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. The senior class picture is a CAHS tradition and includes students from all programs.

Our next cohort conferences will take place next Thursday and Friday, January 24 & 25, 2019. Students should have completed PE and Reading Logs, as well as all work samples turned in. Also, community service, for students, and volunteer hours, for parents should be updated. Please contact your cohort teacher if you have any questions.

Thank you for an excellent first semester and for finishing strong!

Dr. Stacey Perez

CAMS is looking for Tutors!

Classical Academy Middle School is looking for High School Students who might be good writing and math tutors, who understand the summit platform and willing to help out some middle school students.  You would be recommended to parents as private tutors, and it could be an opportunity to get tutoring experience.  And if you choose to volunteer your time, you could use it for Community Service Hours!

If you are interested, you need to be in good academic standing, recommended by teachers (formal recommendations aren't necessary), and willing to work demonstrate patience and flexibility while working with younger students.

Contact Sarah Pierce for more information: spierce@classicalacademy.com
