🚀 JUMPSTART – Get ahead of the curve with academic preparation and inspiring educational content!
This event is our annual parent conference on Thursday, August 21st at 8am at the CAHS Studio Campus.
🐊 CAIMAN KICKOFF – Connect with our community and celebrate the year ahead!
This event is specifically for freshmen and transfer students new to PL this year! More details for students will be sent in the days to come but parents, mark your calendars for a special parent orientation on Monday August 25th from 9am-10am at the CAHS PL Campus (the student event runs from 9am-12pm) where you will meet our team, learn about our academic plans for the year ahead, and have time to connect to all the valuable resources aimed at helping you navigate the upcoming year with ease.
⚙️ GEAR UP DAY – Ensure you have everything needed for academic success!
This event is our first day of school where students and families are invited to come to campus to receive all of the incredible resources needed for the upcoming year like computers, textbooks, and ID cards. In addition students and families will have an opportunity to walk their schedules and meet with each of their teachers--making invaluable connections prior to the first day of classes! Gear up day is Tuesday, August 26th from 8am-4pm.

Join us for our annual Back-to-School BBQ & We will take you away on an island vacation! We love to kick off the school year with this fun event, so come hang out with old friends and meet new ones! Students can wear beach/island gear (school dress code still applies), BBQ Dinner, fun drinks and desserts are all included in the ticket price. Dancing with DJ Morningstar, games, activities and more!

We are not having rehearsals on school recognized holidays.

If your student is going to be absent or tardy, please send an email to plcattendance@classicalacademy.com or call the attendance line at (760) 462-1585 to excuse them. Students who are excused to be tardy will then be issued a tardy pass at the front desk when they arrive. Tardy Policy
If your student anticipates being absent from school for more than two weeks, please have them complete the Extended Absence Form and submit the completed form to the front desk at least two weeks prior to their planned absence.
As a California independent study school, we are required to offer optional synchronous (live) instruction opportunities for students. This provides a chance for students to connect with a credentialed teacher in real time for academic support. There is no negative impact for the student if they do not attend.
At CAHS PL, synchronous (live) instruction opportunities are offered through workshop classes, synchronous virtual courses and Monday Office Hours. If you would like more information about times available to your student, please reach out to their teacher directly.
We are required to notify families when students do not take part (lack of attendance) and encourage all students to access the available resources.
