We are getting into the holiday spirit over here at the CAHS PL Campus and we are so grateful for our incredible leadership team, our staff, and our students who make this time of year so fun and joyful! Our students are enjoying the festive dress-up days, looking for the elf on the shelf around campus, and all of the yummy holiday treats to be shared! If you are looking to share some holiday cheer with our team this year we will have a special lunch during the week before break and any donations of holiday goodies or treats would be greatly appreciated--you can drop off any donations at the front desk anytime. We hope you have a wonderful week Caimans!

SAT SCHOOL DAY: MONDAY 3/2/26
Hello CAHS families, the SAT School Day will be offered for current 11th and 12th graders on Monday, 3/2/2026 at CAHS-Studio (207 E Pennsylvania Ave) starting at 8:00am with main sessions ending before noon. If you are interested in this opportunity, please register and pay by 1/23/2026 here: https://permission.click/6M9V0/int. We will not accept late registrations, so make sure to sign up before the deadline! Absent/Tardy Procedures
Absent/Tardy Procedures
If your student is going to be absent or tardy, please send an email to plcattendance@classicalacademy.com or call the attendance line at (760) 462-1585 to excuse them. Students who are excused to be tardy will then be issued a tardy pass at the front desk when they arrive.
If your student anticipates being absent from school for more than two weeks, please have them complete the Extended Absence Form and submit the completed form to the front desk at least two weeks prior to their planned absence.
Instructional Engagement
Instructional Engagement
As a California independent study school, we are required to offer optional synchronous (live) instruction opportunities for students. This provides a chance for students to connect with a credentialed teacher in real time for academic support. There is no negative impact for the student if they do not attend.
At CAHS PL, synchronous (live) instruction opportunities are offered through workshop classes, synchronous virtual courses and Monday Office Hours. If you would like more information about times available to your student, please reach out to their teacher directly.
We are required to notify families when students do not take part (lack of attendance) and encourage all students to access the available resources.
