Classical Academy High School
Personalized Learning Campus
August 17th - 21st
Are you ready?! We ARE! The entire team at the Classical Academy Personalized Learning campus is ready to serve students, have live weekly Zoom classes, and share some really creative and fun lessons and projects. Drive Through Gear Up Days will be Monday and Tuesday between 9-3 p.m. School yearbook and ID pictures will be taken, textbooks and materials will be put in the trunk of your car, and we will be excited to wave and greet you from a distance. Please note that only one student at a time will be allowed for pictures and nobody will be allowed to enter the buildings.
You should have received a Sign Up Genius invite to schedule your first cohort conference on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. This is not an optional meeting for the cohort teacher, student, and parent. It is our goal to make sure that every student is well prepared to start setting goals and attending live virtual classes on Tuesday. The live links for synchronous classes will be sent out by the middle of the week, so students can start planning their upcoming week.
Please check Schoology daily for the latest updates and information. We appreciate your flexibility as we continue with constantly reassessing and modifying the best educational options in this COVID-crazy time. Parents, we also appreciate your partnership and support.
-Dr. Stacey Perez

Who Do I Ask?
We know that clear communication is going to be crucial during this time, so we wanted to make sure you know where to go if you have a question. We put together a "Who Do I Ask?" Document which contains all of our Support Team's specific roles and email addresses. We want all students and parents to feel free to email anyone on our team with any questions that you have.

National Honors Society Information
If you are a 10th, 11th or 12th grader with a 3.5 gpa or higher…
…you may be the perfect candidate to participate in the National Honors Society chapter at CAHS! It is a great opportunity for 10th-12th graders to get national recognition in their excellence in scholarship, leadership, service and character. It looks GREAT on college applications. In order to apply you must complete the entire application process. Please download the application and email it to Mr. Charles.
Technology Update
To support academic learning and complete assigned coursework, The Classical Academies will have Chromebooks available for students to check out for the duration of distance learning. These devices will need to be returned to the school at the end of the school year or whenever learning returns to the classroom.
To request a Chromebook for your student, please fill out the 2020-2021 Chromebook Request Form. Please submit your request as soon as possible. If your request is received by Wednesday, August 12, 2020, we will do our best to have your device available during Book Pick Up and/or Gear Up.
There will be a Chromebook pickup station on your campus which you can visit during Book Pickup and/or Gear Up days to receive the Chromebook. Please bring the signed Technology Checkout Form with you when you pick up the Chromebook.
If you complete the form after August 12, 2020, we will communicate with you when and where you will pick up your device.
For help with your student's Social/Emotional Needs we have counselors available. Please contact either our school Counselor, Charles Threat at cthreatt@classicalacademy.com or our Special Education Social Worker Erin Cobos at ecobos@classicalacademy.com. They will be happy to set up a time to meet with your student virtually.
