Classical Academy High School

Personalized Learning Campus

August 10th - 14th

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! I can't believe that it has been 150 days since we have been able to have students on campus. However, we must remain compliant and educational planning must continue. At the end of the school year, we had numerous options planned out for the fall. First and foremost, we want all students to be back on campus and the pandemic gone. I hear my mom's voice saying, "but life isn't always fair." So, Plan A moved to Plan B and now to Plan C. We are 100% committed to providing the absolute best and enriching experience for our students starting from the very first day of school. Gear Up Day procedures will be published for August 17 & 18, including the process for school pictures. Teachers return August 10, but they have busy planning over the summer to deliver the highest quality courses for all plans. Our highest priority will be starting clubs, virtual activities, and making sure that all students are included and active in the high school experience. We understand that the school year is not starting out as planned, but we are ready to set up all students for success. Please join me on Thursday, August 6, at 8:00 am for a coffee chat and more insight into the 2020-21 school year.

It is my honor to be partnering with you and serving our families.

-Dr. Stacey Perez

Who Do I Ask?

We know that clear communication is going to be crucial during this time, so we wanted to make sure you know where to go if you have a question.  We put together a "Who Do I Ask?" Document which contains all of our Support Team's specific roles and email addresses.  We want all students and parents to feel free to email anyone on our team with any questions that you have.

Technology Update

To support academic learning and complete assigned coursework, The Classical Academies will have Chromebooks available for students to check out for the duration of distance learning. These devices will need to be returned to the school at the end of the school year or whenever learning returns to the classroom.

To request a Chromebook for your student, please fill out the 2020-2021 Chromebook Request Form. Please submit your request as soon as possible. If your request is received by Wednesday, August 12, 2020, we will do our best to have your device available during Book Pick Up and/or Gear Up.

There will be a Chromebook pickup station on your campus which you can visit during Book Pickup and/or Gear Up days to receive the Chromebook. Please bring the signed Technology Checkout Form with you when you pick up the Chromebook.

If you complete the form after August 12, 2020, we will communicate with you when and where you will pick up your device.

For help with your student's Social/Emotional Needs we have counselors available.  Please contact either our school Counselor, Charles Threat at cthreatt@classicalacademy.com or our Special Education Social Worker Erin Cobos at ecobos@classicalacademy.com.  They will be happy to set up a time to meet with your student virtually.
