Dear CAO Families,
The finish line is so close! This is the final week of workshops and our last cohort conference for the 2018-19 school year. Please make sure all work samples are turned in, logs are up to date, and projects are completed.
We will host our Academic Showcase and Expo on Wednesday night from 5-7 pm. Even if students do not need extra credit, I am asking for participation. This is our opportunity to share our student success!
Next week will be our push to the finish, as seniors finish up all courses and prepare for graduation. Freshman, sophomores, and juniors will have until Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 4:00 pm to complete any and all coursework.
Please remind all students to set goals and let us know how we can help!

CAO Event Book
Hey students and families, we are creating an Eventbook for CAO. We would love to see what you are involved with inside and outside of school. If you volunteer, barrel race, Boys Scout, Black Belt, etc. we want to showcase the amazing students that make up CAO. When sending pictures please title the subject; Extra Curricular Activities. In the body of the email, include students first and last name, grade, and description of the pictures. All pictures need to be in by 5/26/2019. Please send pictures to caoeventbook@classicalacademy.com.
We are also looking for Pictures of students who are participating in the following:
Sports: football, boys and girls water polo, girls and boys tennis, x country, girls and boys soccer, girls and boys basketball, boys and girls beach volleyball, surf, Cheer, baseball, softball, golf, lacrosse, girls and boys volleyball, swim, track and field, Drama, Choir, Flag, Dance, and Band.
When sending pictures please title the subject; Name of Activity or Sport. In the body of the email, include student/s first and last name, grade, and description of the pictures. All pictures need to be in by 5/26/2019

Community News
Need Community Service Hours this summer?

We have 3 school matinees at the Center Theatre of CCAE - all of which still have good availability at this point. They are all at 10 am on May 22, 23, and 24. Tickets are $3 for students and teachers/parents/chaperones, and may be reserved through our school's front office. The office manager is Mireya Barajas mbarajas@eusd.org or 760-432-2452. The show is probably most appropriate for grades 5 and up, and should run approximately 2 hours with intermission.
Parent Volunteer Opportunities!
Parent volunteers help keep our programs running! Remember every $10 spent counts as a volunteer hour.
The Student Store is an ongoing fundraiser that helps us purchase extra items for classrooms, fun events for students, and teacher appreciation.
We will always take donations of the following items to help with this fundraiser:
Bottled water, gatorade, juice, chocolate milk and any other single serving packaged drinks. Granola bars (kind bars), Chips, Oatmeal, Fruit cups, Pretzels, Frozen single serve foods, Dried fruit, Hummus cups, Yogurt, Any other healthy options!
As we do have students with peanut allergies, we ask that no peanut products be purchased for the student store and that the student lounge remain peanut free zones.
