JUMPSTART PARENT/GUARDIAN EDUCATION CONFERENCE

The Annual JumpStart Parent Education Conference inspires, connects, and motivates parents as they kick off the school year. The conference features a keynote address, over 50 educational break-out sessions, and the opportunity to network with other parents. Break-out sessions include various topics to address the needs of TK-12 students, from learning to read to preparing seniors for college. This event is free for all Classical Academy parents.

GEAR UP DAY

Date: Wednesday, August 21, 2024

Time: 8am-4pm

Location: Classical Academy High School - Personalized Learning Campus

Gear Up Day is the first opportunity for all students and parents/guardians to be on campus and to come and get “geared up” for school to begin! At Gear Up Day students will receive their schedules, pick up their textbooks, take their school photo, receive their digital ID card, purchase additional Caiman swag and walk your class schedule! Gear Up Day runs from 8am-4pm. Please note our programming has been streamlined for the upcoming school year and we will no longer be requiring Cohort conferences during Gear Up Day. Students and parents/guardians will receive communications in August outlining all of the various offerings at Gear Up Day and will include a list of resources to support students and parents/guardians as they begin a new school year.

FIRST DAY OF CLASSES

This year, our first day of regular school will be on Thursday, August 22nd following our Gear Up Day on Wednesday, August 21st. This first day is an opportunity for students to meet their classmates and teachers, learn more about their classes, and experience the best of CAHS-PL campus life! Thursday, August 22nd will be a FULL DAY of classes. (Click here for PL’s Bell Schedule)

BACK-TO-SCHOOL BEACH BASH 🏖️🌸🏄

Friday, August 30th, 2024 (time TBD)

Save the date on Friday evening for our annual Back-to-School Beach Bash! We love to kick off the school year with this fun event, so come hang out with old friends and meet new ones! Students can wear beach clothing (school dress code still applies), food and desserts included in the ticket price.  More details will coming soon!

PSAT

We are hosting the digital PSAT for 10th and 11th graders only on Monday October 7th, 2024 starting at 8:00am at CAHS-Studio (207 E Pennsylvania Ave). Students from Studio and PL are welcome to sign up, but must be registered by submitting the following Google Form: https://forms.gle/Uz642Fk3zfFotV21A. Sign-ups are due by Friday, 8/30/2024. This exam costs the school $20 per student so please only sign up if your student will attend. If you do not sign up via the Google Form by the deadline, we will not have the PSAT ready for you on 10/7/2024. Please contact Mr. Warwick with any questions at cwarwick@classicalacademy.com.

Absent/Tardy Procedures

If your student is going to be absent or tardy, parents need to send an email to plcattendance@classicalacademy.com or call the attendance line at (760) 462-1585 to excuse them.  Students who are excused to be tardy will then be issued a tardy pass at the front desk when they arrive.
