If you missed Gear Up Day, please review the packet HERE and make sure to login to Gradient Canvas, the new Learning Management System at PL, and add your students so you can support their learning throughout the year.
Gradient curriculum and communication for both students and parents/guardians can be found at https://gradientlearning.instructure.com/
Students sign in with Google using Chrome as the preferred browser with their @tcadocs.com account
Parents need to go to the SAME website to create their Canvas account. **We don’t have a school account with CAHS, we are using the Gradient Learning account so please only navigate to the site above.
Students should accept and complete the Passport to Canvas course- it isn’t graded or for credits, but is a way for students to practice how to use the tools.
At the end of Module 2 in the Passport class students can get a linking code for the parent/guardian as observer which will allow them to view things such as courses, grades, and important announcements.
The Classical Academy PLC Robotics team CAOS, and its partner team, RoboGenesis are accepting applications for the 2024-2025 competitive robotics season which starts September 7th. 7th-12th graders are eligible to apply. We meet at the Classical Academy PLC on Woodward Ave.
We have both technical (designer/builder, CAD, programming, tech writer) and non-technical (outreach, social media, graphics design) positions available. In addition, we offer an exciting opportunity to participate in a Society of Women Engineers chapter which provides opportunities for mentoring with professional engineers and college scholarships.
Our teams are highly motivated and consider robotics a team sport. During our peak season (September - April), we expect team members to spend a minimum of 6-8 hours per week at meetings plus complete assigned tasks outside of regular meeting hours.
We are looking for students willing to dedicate the time necessary to make learning, participating in team events, and striving for excellence a high priority.
No prior experience is needed to join a FIRST robotics team.
You may apply to one or both teams for consideration. Please complete application(s) and submit so that we can set up a time for an interview. Thanks!
