The Customer Dashboard is the initial page of the portal after login. Customers are provided the most relevant information on their account, such as:
Account balance
Ability to make a payment
Usage widgets
Billing and consumption history graph
Widgets to facilitate enrollment into programs provided by the utility company
An account overview section which provides information and status on a range of account details
Helpful Tip: You can expand the left navigation menu by clicking the top, left icon (icon with 3 dots).
Username Validation
When the user logs into the portal, the system will query for all contract accounts associated with the username and retrieve primary account information from the backend system
If the username has multiple contract accounts the portal will check which one is flagged as “Primary” to display the initial account upon login.
The Account Selection Widget will house all associated contract accounts
Notifications & Alerts
From the Bell icon, the customer will be navigated to the Notification section. Refer to the Notifications section for more information.
Current Total Balance
The user is provided the total outstanding balance that is associated with the account.
Note: If the account has credit balance it is displayed as “-$X,XXX.XX CR”
Last Bill Charges
The Last Bill Charges section displays the following:
Most recent charges: This is the amount due for the latest bill period
Payment Due: The due date of the latest bill
View Bill button: Generates a PDF for the most recently billed billing period
The donut graph will display the consumption breakdown of all services which are separated based on service type. The last bill amount will be displayed within the center of the donut graph.
Current Usage:
The current usage will be displayed for each service type (for the current billing period)
The usage comparison feature will compare the consumption of the most recent period to the previous period & the same period last year
The maximum timeframe for which the comparison is offered is 13 months from the current day
The available communication methods are:
Paperless Billing: Details are explained in the Paperless Billing - Enroll & Paperless Billing - Unenroll sections
Text Alerts: If the customer opts to enroll in text alerts they will be required to provide a valid mobile phone number & then click Enroll
Contact Information: The customer is able to update their contact information: Primary email and primary phone number
Helpful Tip: Customers will receive a pop-up message for each change asking if they are sure they want to proceed. They must click Proceed to save the change.
Notification Preferences: Customers can select their notification preferences (Email and/or Text Alerts) for each event by switching the corresponded toggle on/off & then clicking Save.
Helpful Tip: The customer must enter a valid mobile phone number to enroll in text alerts
The following fields will be displayed within the Account Overview section:
Customer Number
Mailing Address (with a link to the Profile Settings where the customer can request a change to their mailing address)
Account Status: Active / Inactive
