Recommended Group Size
4+ persons
Estimated Time
20 - 30 minutes
Purpose
To discuss different topics relating to their faith
Objectives
To write or draw symbols to answer questions.
To comment upon others’ responses, if time permits.
Materials
Flat, concrete/asphalt surface
Chalk
Procedure
Divide participants into four groups.
Designate four large areas for the participants to share. Each area will have a designated question or statement.
Direct each group to a different area.
Using chalk, participants in each group respond to the designated question or statement.
If there is not enough chalk for all participants to write at the same time, participants must take turns writing their response. Other participants can think about their answers while waiting.
If all participants in a group have responded to the question or statement and are waiting for other groups to finish, those in that group may write comments in response to others.
After all groups have finished responding, give each group some time to go around to other areas to read others’ responses.
