Welcome to the TJC Fellowship Ideas Site!
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.
{1 John 1:1-4}

WHAT IS FELLOWSHIP?
When we think of the meaning of the word “fellowship” what do we usually think of? Chances are the first thing that comes to mind is some sort of fun social gathering for church members.
However, when we go back to the Bible, we discover that “fellowship” has a more profound meaning than just hangouts. The Greek word, κοινωνία, koinonia, is translated as “fellowship" and “communion” in the New Testament . We can see that the word suggests a relationship of strong union and mutual sharing.
To fellowship is to have communion with God and our brothers and sisters concurrently by sharing what we have seen, heard, and touched concerning the Word of Life - Jesus Christ, to our fellow brethren. Therefore, fellowship must be God-centered events and not gatherings merely for socializing.
May God grant you the promised overflowing joy when you lead and participate in a biblical fellowship!
HOW DO I USE THIS WEBSITE
This website is divided into four sections: Icebreaker, Team Building, Spiritual Sharing, and Devotional.
A well-rounded fellowship program should not be centered around Icebreaker or Team Building activities, but rather incorporate them as introductions to the Spiritual Sharing or Devotional activities.
The Icebreaker activities establish the foundation by allowing participants to get to know one another, while the Team Building activities give them a chance to build upon that foundation by working together in teams. When a solid foundation has been established, the fellowship can move into the Spiritual Sharing and Devotional activities. During these activities, the participants learn from and edify one another, while studying God’s word and growing closer to God.
It is our hope that the activities on this website can help teachers, coordinators, youth group leaders, etc., plan fellowships that are both enjoyable and spiritually edifying.
