Blocks

In the right column of your moodle site is an option to 'Add a block':

Adding a block offers lots of opportunities. Some examples:

Resources List: to add reading list (via TALIS)

Activities: shows Assignments, Feedback, Forums, Resources, Group Choices etc

Voice E-mail: allows selecting recipients from a cohort

HTML: Can be used to add links to external resources.

Each external resource can be added as a link using the 'link' item in the HTML editor.
