Moodle Page & Editor

Certain types of content can be put on a Moodle page. A page allows for quick access (no downloading, as for example with Word docs), and it can be edited online.

Turn editing on and choose Page from the the "Add an activity or resource" link:

Add a name and a description for your page. you can enlarge the text windows by "dragging out" the bottom right corners.

You can type in your content from scratch, or use copy and paste. (Some browsers require you to use Ctrl C (= copy) and Ctrl V (= paste) rather than using other methods for copying and pasting text.)

The content in a page can be edited similar to editing in word processing programmes, i.e. using the icons at the top of the editor. In Moodle 2.6 (used in Brookes since August 2014) the icon set shows only the top line of icons, and you can open it by clicking on the toggle button:

You can also toggle to full screen mode (toggle button in the bottom right corner of the extended toolbar:

Once the editing in full screen mode is done you will have to toggle back (click on the toggle button in the bottom right corner!) to be able to save your edits at the bottom of the page editing screen.
