Setting up a quiz

When you create the quiz activity, you are creating a container for the questions, and you specify the settings for the quiz.

Turn editing on

In the topic or week where you want to add the quiz, click the Add an Activity or resource link.

The Add and activity or resource dialog window is displayed, and you can select Quiz, and click Add:

You will see the adding a new quiz screen, where you can specify settings for the quiz within different sections:

1 General

Name: type a name for the quiz

Description: type a description for the quiz. You can include instructions for taking the quiz or other information.

Check 'Display description on course page' if you'd like the description to be displayed on the course page just below the link to the activity.

To be continued ... for summative/formative the quiz settings are different. Especially for summative quizzes all settings need to be checked thoroughly!
