Feedback Activity

The feedback activity is a flexible tool which can be used to set up custom surveys and other feedback activities. If necessary it can be set as anonymous. Results can be viewed in detail or overall summary (graph).

Add a Feedback using the 'Add an activity' menu. After giving it a name and a short description, you can set a variety of options:

    • Record user names: You have the option of making the evaluations anonymous or the option of seeing each student’s name and answers as they complete the evaluation.

    • Show analysis to students: This option will allow you to share results with the students by clicking “yes” or “no” on the dropdown box.

    • Send e-mail notifications: This allows e-mail notifications to be sent to the administrator each time a student completes the evaluation.

    • Automated numbers for each question: This feature will number each one of the questions.

    • Multiple submit: This will allow participants to resubmit answers.

    • Site after submit: You can direct the students to a specific website after they submit their evaluation.

    • Page after submit: What you put in this box will display as a message at the end of the evaluation.

    • Group Mode: group setting corresponds to the settings of the activity that the Feedback is referencing. For example, if the Feedback tool is used to gather opinions from a small group activity, using those same groups will allow you to relate responses to the particular group dynamics. For a whole-class or individual activity, such as thoughts about a guest speaker, “no groups” should be selected.

    • Visible: This will determine whether or not students can see the Feedback activity from the course homepage.
