IT Systems Tech Apprentice
Position Overview:
The WCPS IT Systems Tech Apprentice will work alongside an experienced IT professional, assisting with all duties, and training to better understand the trade by expanding their IT knowledge. Apprentices must act as reliable, capable, and supportive members of the WCPS IT Team and be ready to assist school system stakeholders.
Duties Include:
· Perform onsite, telephone, and remote end-user troubleshooting and problem resolution.
· Image and deploy workstation images for all WCPS computer systems- Mac OS and Windows
· Installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs technology resources including client connectivity, mobile and wireless devices, desktops, desktop systems, and peripherals.
· Assists with all user-end desktop and mobile applications (MS Office, Open Office, Google Apps, etc.)
· Completes hardware, software, operating system troubleshooting, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs on computers, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and other information technology (both onsite and remotely using desktop management technologies).
· Continuously identifies process and quality improvement opportunities and implements applicable technologies and/or process change.
· Completes assigned projects including requirement analysis, quality control, implementation and development activities, and system documentation with department-defined Service Legal Agreements (SLA’s).
· Maintains service, equipment, and software inventory records.
· Demonstrates courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders of Washington County Public Schools.
· Perform other duties as required.

5. Submit Your Application: Hand in your completed application, cover letter, and resume to your Career Coach. Your Career Coach will submit your completed application to Siona Escoto, Apprenticeship Coordinator at EscotSio@wcps.k12.md.us with the team email, Apprenticeship@wcps.k12.md.us cc’d.
