Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Culinary Support professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our students receive healthy and balanced meals, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation, nutrition, and creating a positive dining experience for children.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation:
Assist in the preparation of daily breakfast, lunch, and snack menus.
Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and meet dietary guidelines.
Follow recipes and portion control standards to maintain consistency and quality.
Kitchen Operations:
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
Food Safety and Hygiene:
Adhere to all food safety regulations and daycare policies.
Implement proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Conduct regular cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen areas and equipment.
Support for Special Dietary Needs:
Accommodate special dietary requirements and allergies.
Prepare alternative meals and snacks as needed.
Communicate with parents and staff regarding dietary concerns.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the daycare staff to coordinate meal schedules and special events.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Child Interaction:
Engage with children during meal times to create a positive dining experience.
Encourage healthy eating habits and introduce new foods in a fun and educational manner.
Assist with serving meals and snacks, ensuring a pleasant and orderly environment.
