Position Overview:
The Preschool Instructor at our Pediatric Movement Gym will provide hands-on support to children from newborn to 18 years old of all abilities. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum, engaging children in movement-based activities, and collaborating with other instructors and therapists to ensure effective and enjoyable learning experiences. The instructor will work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall physical and developmental growth of the children.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Client Support:
Provide hands-on assistance to children during movement and play activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Engage children in exercises and activities tailored to their individual needs and abilities.
Curriculum Development and Implementation:
Collaborate with other instructors to develop and implement movement-based curriculum and activities.
Adapt activities to suit the varying abilities and developmental stages of the children.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and make necessary adjustments to enhance learning outcomes.
Activity Preparation:
Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for movement sessions.
Ensure activity areas are clean, safe, and conducive to effective learning and play.
Administrative Duties:
Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress and upcoming activities.
Operational Functions:
Maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment.
Coordinate with other gym staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of gym procedures.
