MACHINING APPRENTICE

APPLICANTS MUST BE 17 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY.

Job Description:

• Shadow machine operators that run various machining equipment, including but not limited to multi-axis turning centers, milling machines, grinders, gear cutting equipment (shapers/hobs), surface finish equipment, washers, and automated conveyance systems;

• Learn about various pieces of machinery and their function within the organization to create the product;

• Observe and understand various operator processes, including standard and metric tool measuring, tool changes, and insert changes;

• Learn the root cause analysis process;

• Participate and contribute ideas for continuous improvement activities for the department;

• Learn and understand basic gear, shaft, crankshaft, and axle machining knowledge;

• Participate in soft skill development and other training as offered/available;

• Learn and interact with other departments, including Assembly, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality;

• May have the opportunity to create equipment recordings to learn processes and ways of working on-site.

• OSHA10 certification is a plus

Hours:

Flexible. 7 AM - 3:00 PM Mon - Fri.

Applicant must be able to work 4 hours per shift.

Rate of Pay:

$16.50/hr.
