HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC APPRENTICE

Job Description:

• Build construction equipment

• Repair construction equipment

• Fabricating metal structures

• Making hydraulic hoses

• Mounting valves

• Repairing hydraulic cylinders

• Assembling machinery components

• Welding

• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Strengths:

• Mechanically inclined

• Working knowledge of hand and power tools

• Familiarity with repair and maintenance

• Familiarity with hydraulics

• Ability to learn and apply new skills

• Ability to follow directions

• Detail-oriented

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work at a fast pace / multitask

• Flexible and able to work in a team

• Friendly and dependable

PLTW Engineering, Power Mechanics, AG Engineering, Applied Manufacturing

Hours:

M-F 5 AM - 5 PM, Flexible

Rate of Pay:

$13.25

More Information:

Must wear welding appropriate attire.

Steel toes, safety glasses, and Weld PPE must be worn.

Safety glasses and PPE are provided but apprentice can use their own.
