Job Description:
Students will assist with installing and maintaining architectural building systems by repairing, altering, or constructing replacement items from materials such as wood, plastic, or metal. Students will apply surface finish treatments such as painting or staining. Students may sanitize, declassify or destroy materials and dispose of other materials by recycling or other methods.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting in the installation and maintenance of architectural building systems by repairing, altering, or constructing replacement items using materials such as wood, plastic, or metal.
Applying surface finish treatments such as painting or staining to architectural components.
Sanitizing, declassifying, or destroying materials as required, following established procedures and guidelines.
Disposing of materials by recycling or other appropriate methods in accordance with environmental regulations.
Collaborating with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
Following safety protocols and regulations while working with tools, equipment, and materials.
Required Related Instruction:

Carpentry; Construction Design and Management; Power Mechanics; Construction and Building Trades; Electrical Construction; Mechanical, Manufacturing, & Automation Engineering Academy Completer; Engineering Academy - PLTW; HVAC

Flexible. Must be able to work within regular business hours.

Rate of Pay:
$15.00/hr.

5. Submit Your Application: Hand in your completed application, cover letter, and resume to your Career Coach. Your Career Coach will submit your completed application to Siona Escoto, Apprenticeship Coordinator at EscotSio@wcps.k12.md.us with the team email, Apprenticeship@wcps.k12.md.us cc’d.
