MACHINIST APPRENTICE
Job Description:
Gain knowledge and experience on the responsibilities of a Machinist
Gain knowledge and expertise on how to set up machine tools such as CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, OD, ID, and Surface Grinders to produce in tolerance parts by shadowing and assisting other Machinists
Gain knowledge and experience on how to review blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances of finished workpiece, the sequence of operations, and set up
Gain knowledge and experience programming CNC and NC Machines for accurate machining operations
Gain knowledge and experience in modifying CNC programs as needed for efficiency and quality
Incorporate academic knowledge into hands-on work
Fulfill tasks assigned by the manager
Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Fives Landis Corp. as an industry leader to customers, suppliers, professional colleagues, and employees.
Required Skills/Strengths:
Mechanically inclined
Working knowledge of repair tools and equipment
Experience with hand and power tools
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Basic computer skills

Hours:
Flexible. 7 AM - 3:30 PM Mon - Fri.

Rate of Pay:
$15.00/hr.
