INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN APPRENTICE

Job Description
30% Control Engineering/35% High Voltage Electrical/35% Industrial Mechanical;
Robotics and PLCs - Observe working with voltages up to 600 VAC, including 480 VAC and 277 VAC;
Learn and understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Mechanics;
Learn and observe how to diagnose breakdowns;
Problem-solve and evaluate breakdowns for repair alongside a journeyman that will help facilitate and teach their problrm-solving skills;
Learn how to research part numbers for repairs, ordering spare pats and inventory;
Document repairs. Generate and/or edit prints and programs as needed;
Shadow and learn how to plan electrical jobs and calculate and order supplies and materials.
Required Skills/Strengths:
Mechanically inclined
Working knowledge of repair tools and equipment
Experience with hand and power tools
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn and apply new skills
Computer literate
Excellent reading and comprehension skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to follow directions
Good time management and organizational skills
Flexible and able to work in a team
Friendly and dependable
Self-motivated
Able to follow all safety rules and regulations
Able to lift, bend, stoop, crouch, etc.
OSHA10 certification is a plus
Good work ethic
Ability to observe confidentiality
Required Related Instruction:
One course in the following pathways.
Engineering, Applied Manufacturing, Power Mechanics, Electrical Construction
Hours:
Flexible. 7 AM - 3:00 PM Mon - Fri.
Applicant must be able to work 4 hours per shift.

Rate of Pay:
$18.50/hr.
Additional Information:
PPE will be provided. Steel-toed shoes are required.
