PAINT APPRENTICE
Job Description:
Providing "Look Out" while painters are operating the lift to ensure safety and that paint is available
Cleaning paint drops and oversprays
Back Rolling - rolling out paint
Rolling Walls - brush, spray, and do trim work
Required Skills/Strengths:
Ability to learn and apply new skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to follow directions
Good time management and organizational skills
Flexible and able to work in a team and/or individually
Friendly and dependable
Self-motivated
Able to follow all safety rules and regulations
Able to lift, bend, stoop, crouch, etc.
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to climb ladders
Driver's license a plus
Required Related Instruction:
One course in the following pathways. Please see Program of Study for specific courses.
Construction and Building Trades, Construction Design and Management, Carpentry, Power Mechanics
Hours:
Flexible. Must be able to work within regular business hours.
Mon. - Fri. 7 am - 3:30 pm
Location:
15136 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740
This position is site work, and travel to/from sites may be required.
Rate of Pay:
$15.00/hr.
Additional Information:
Opportunity exists to earn certifications, including lift/ariel certification, first aid/CPR, respiratory fit testing, and OSHA 10.
Steel-toed boots are required. Paint pants and shirts are required to be worn.
