Position Overview:

We are looking for a Help Desk Technician who shares our passion for technology and customer service. The Help Desk Technician’s main areas of responsibility are to troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to our customers, all while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
· Utilize NinjaOne RMM to perform remote troubleshooting of customer’s hardware, network, application, and procedural issues
· Maintain accurate notes and status of issues in our PSA software
· Interact with customers, network providers, and vendors daily; opening tickets and performing follow-up with internal/external organizations regarding customer-related issues
· Traveling to customers’ office locations to provide onsite support
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in IT, customer service, or other related fields
· Ability to build rapport with clients
· Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
· Positive and professional demeanor
· Experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365
· Diagnosing and resolving network issues, including ping testing, IP configuration, and understanding network topology
· Ability to pass a background check
Qualifying Related Instruction:
CISCO IT ACADEMY, COMPUTER SCIENCE, IB COMPUTER SCIENCE (SL), ADVANCED C++, IB INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN A GLOBAL SOCIETY (ITGS) STANDARD LEVEL (SL), ADVANCED PLACEMENT COMPUTER SCIENCE PRINCIPLES, ADVANCED PLACEMENT COMPUTER SCIENCE A, ROBOTICS, MICROPROCESSORS AND MICROCONTROLLERS, PLTW COMPUTER SCIENCE ESSENTIALS, PLTW ADVANCED PLACEMENT COMPUTER SCIENCE PRINCIPLES, PLTW ADVANCED PLACEMENT COMPUTER SCIENCE A, PLTW CYBERSECURITY

4. Request Your Recommendations: Ask your related instruction teacher and School Counselor to fill out and return the recommendation form to be included in your completed application packet.
5. Submit Your Application: Hand in your completed application, cover letter, and resume to your Career Coach. Your Career Coach will submit your completed application to Siona Escoto, Apprenticeship Coordinator at EscotSio@wcps.k12.md.us with the team email, Apprenticeship@wcps.k12.md.us cc’d.
