Roselle Ambubuyog graduated summa cum laude in 2001 from the Ateneo de
Manila University, with a Bachelor of Science major in Mathematics and a minor in Actuarial Science. While being totally blind since the age of six, she has consistently performed impressively all throughout her life as a student, garnering the highest academic honors, graduating valedictorian from her preparatory ( 1986 ) ,elementary (1993 ) , and secondary ( 1997 ) schools. During these times, she was mainstreamed with sighted students. Roselle has also achieved several other awards given for a candidate for graduation. These include the following : the Ateneo President's
Award as a valedictorian of class 2001. the Ateneo Vice- President's Most Outstanding Individual Award for service and excellence, the St. Ignatius Award for Outstanding Scholar, and the Development Award for Mathematics. She has also been granted several other recognitions from various group such as: the Special Award of Recognition from the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines ( TOSP ) executive committee, the Most Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Student of the Philippines Award from the Order of the Knights of Rizal Supreme Council, the BSP Science Award from the BPI Foundation , the Huwarang Pilipino Award from the Radio ng Bayan Executive Committee, the Gawad Sentenaryo" Kabataang Makasaysayan " Award from the National Centennial Commission, the Galing Pilipino citation from the Galing Pilipino Movement, the National Maagap Award for Punctuality and Civility ( Youth Sector ) from the Oraganized Response to the Advancement of Society, the Heroes for Today Award from Reader's Digest Asia , and many others.

All of us experience various difficulties and hardship in life. No one is spared from experiencing this unfortunate about life. These situations vary from one person to another. While some of them may be more challenging than others, we are all gifted with an ability to manage and deal with them. We can be victorious over any problem that comes as long as we remain in control, never immediate give up and instead be able to utilize our potentials and skills to overcome these and transform them into opportunities for growth.
