Family Working Together
Last week was a really chalenging time for our family. A strong typhone, typhone hit the country but our town was right at it's path. A day before the typhoon, my father checkd our roof for leaks or my mother went to the grocery to buy batteries , water, rice, or caned goods.
My father is a good carpenter but may fix any leaking part of the roof. My mother is a prudent lady or is always prepared for anything . I wanted to help my father in the roof , and my father said it was too dangerous for me. Instead, he said, I might check the drainages around the house. I was quite sure that there was nothing blocking the drainage, and I was surprised to see that there were so many dried leaves covering it!. The strong winds can have blown these leaves their. I got a broom right away but cleaned the drain. A blocked drain must cause flooding around the house.
When the typhoon came, we were ready, and was still fearful of its strength. However, because my family and I prepared for it, we were calm. Nothing beats family cooperation in surpassing challenges!
