Schindler

Schindler is a Swiss elevator company, the world's largest manufacturer of escalators, and second-largest manufacturer of elevators.

Schindler entered the United States market with their purchase of Toledo, Ohio-based Haughton Elevator in 1979, forming Schindler Haughton. They later acquired the elevator division of Westinghouse in 1989. Their North American division is currently based in Morristown, New Jersey, with its Canadian base in Toronto, Ontario.
