Schindler Escalators

1985-1997

Schindler escalators prior to October 1997 have no known model name. These are believed to have been installed in North America starting in 1985. Most escalators of this model just have the word "Schindler," only 1996-97 installs are known to have Schindler's symbol as well.

9300 & 9300AE

9300 was Schindler's standard escalator model from 10/1997-2005.
9300AE has been the standard model since 2005.

9300 and 9300AE are mostly identical on the outside. They can easily be identified by their distinctive curved gray plastic inlet caps. It seems that 9300AEs have a small display in one of their inlet caps, while 9300s do not.

9300 can only have the older Schindler logo. 9300AE had the older logo from 2005-08, and has had the newer logo since 2008.

The 9300 series is the most common escalator in North America.
