SCHINDLER
500A
Overview
The 500A was Schindler's mid-high rise traction elevator from 2001-2013. It's a relatively rare model.
500As have a distincive set of chimes. The directional chimes sound similar to HT chimes, and the passing chime is a high-pitched beep.
NOTE: These chimes are also used on modernizations. If an elevator has these chimes, that does not make it a 500A. Modernizations are not considered 500A.
