Cart Conveyors

Cartveyor & Vermaport

Cartveyor

Pflow Industries makes the Cartveyor cart conveyor model. This is currently the most common type in North America.

Cartveyors guide carts with a central rail, that connects to a small post at the front of the cart. Their gates are spring-loaded and integrated into the conveyor.

Vermaport

Darrott (now part of Morris Vermaport) makes a cart conveyor known as Vermaport. There are two variants, Vermaport SC (for shopping carts) and Vermaport LC (for luggage carts).

Vermaport uses two chains on either side with posts to hold the cart in place. It usually has gates separate from the escalator itself.
