Dover Escalators

You might think to yourself, "have I ever seen a Dover escalator?" You probably haven't. Dover never actually made escalators. The few Dover-branded escalators in existence were made by third parties and distributed by Dover.

1980s - made by Hitachi

1990s - made by Hyundai Elevator

• Furnitureland South, Jamestown, NC

Many Hitachi and unbranded Hyundai escalator installations in the United States and Canada are in buildings with Dover elevators, suggesting that Dover may have been the North American distributor for some or all Hitachi and Hyundai escalators in the 1980s and 1990s respectively.

Another Dover-branded escalator is known to exist in Turkey. This one was likely made by Hitachi.
