The 700A was Schindler's high rise traction model from the early 1990s until 2012. It was occasionally used for low-rise installations up until the 500A was introduced in 2001.
The name "700A" is not confirmed by Schindler documents, however, one Schindler technician has stated that 700A is the proper name. This elevator is often called "EPOCH," which is more than likely a false term.
700As usually have MT or RT fixtures, and the standard MT chimes. They usually chime before they start moving, similarly to 300A.
700As are known to level very quickly, sometimes even being called "American M-Series."
