Watch your armor
Players can softlock themselves by standing on a cactus.
Magma block, lava, or other continuous damage sources also work.
Use Graveyards (External Plugin) to make them 'respawn' somewhere else.
Use ANYTHING to make players respawn somewehere else, its not a feature built-in.
Compatible with Graveyards.
Will ignore grave cooldowns though.
Players are presented the YOU DIED! screen, and must click 'respawn' to make the screen go away.
Nothing else will happen. They will even remain In the same place.
Players will drop their inventories if KeepInventory gamerule is disabled.
Most other plugin death effects will activate.
Sounds that were playing wont stop.
You can now add .mp3 files to your texture pack (convert to .ogg) and make epic boss music. Yay.
This is the very reason I started GooP to begin with. Tried doing this with mythicmobs, basically by approximating player armor (thus accounting for all MMO plugins bonuses) from how much damage they had taken in the past from what they were supposed to suffer. Then predicting if the next hit would kill them, and if that would happen, cancel the damage and do something else to them instead...
Its my last complicated mythicmobs skill, and I may be proud that it actually worked, but it was laggy as heck.
You call it like this:
- setvariable{var=skill.nDamage;type=FLOAT;value="8"} # Damage that will be dealt
- skill{s=MRB_DamageDeal}
gunging — "You discover you cant die and the first thing you do is soflock yourself on a lava puddle?"
cocopad — "Its big brain time"
