African Americans

GOMOJO is motivated and driven by the CDC which is highly committed to reducing disparities and decreasing HIV/AIDS among African Americans, in collaboration with community members and influential leaders. As part of a heightened response to the HIV/AIDS crisis among African Americans, CDC has outlined plans to intensify programs in the following key areas:

  • expanding the reach of prevention services
  • increasing opportunities for diagnosing and treating HIV;
  • developing new, effective prevention interventions; and
  • mobilizing broader community action.
