Laying Out DTP for the purpose of sharing with Team Zappos 11-9-12

About Me and DTP

11.11.12 “officially” yet unofficially joined the Downtown Project mission in creating the greatest city in the world to live, learn, work, play, and even the safe sex. I promised my family I would get a job while on my mission to pave (sometime bulldoze) the path to AIDS FREE GENERATION, and so I focused on the Downtown Project, Vegas Tech Fund and their investments. I have been a full participant in the community development and have endless documentation of the progression of the downtown movement. I sent an introduction of what I could do for the Downtown Project as well as applying for many positions, with NO avail. HOWEVER for EVERY position I applied for I basically followed and did my best to stay abreast and tie into the master community development plan to connect our community as one team. I applied for positions from Ecomom to Asst Construction Project Manager to Zach Wares personal financial helper.

First I look at how could I help if Team Zappos wanted to open a small business so I took a year to prepare thinking and waiting for you all to come out and open a business. WHERE YA AT?

1. Execution & Sustainability: We invest in sustainable business models with operators that can execute.

2. Passion: These businesses are owner-operated, hands-on businesses where the entrepreneur harnesses their passion and executes on his or her vision.

3. Collisions: Businesses that provide a space for people to meet and interact in a way that promotes new relationships and stronger ties within the community.

4. Unique or the Best: Downtown Las Vegas is a place to experience new things, and the Small Businesses we invest in differentiate themselves with unique qualities not found in many of their counterparts.

5. Story Worthy: The Small Businesses we invest in have a story all their own, and each of our businesses contributes to an eclectic mix of narratives in the Downtown area.

Question: How can I help DTP hit the target marks they are aiming for…..

My first mission with this statement was HOW DO I GET CONDOMS in the PLACES, ALL THE PLACES, our PASSIONATE PEOPLE will COME TOGETHER,

1st Call for Action IF LIQUOR IS SOLD FREE CONDOMS ARE TO BE MANDATORY .. I feel same responsibility as BARTENDERS are responsible if drunk gets in a wreck .

Steps taken: I tapped into the 58 billion dollars of Federal Funding for Condom Distribution Programs and have established relationships and unlimited access to free condoms for our ground level businesses to take part in the SHARED RESPONSIBILITY ROAD MAP as a community stake and shareholder. and will take responsibility for executing and I have ...I actually applied for a job working for Order With Me (I even stated in the cover letter I would do job for free) thinking if I was going to go into each establishment I might as well see about their ordering supplies process and implement condoms into the supply delivery

First mission was how do we obtain and sustain an AIDS FREE GEN with this many people living close together the chances of having/getting sex increases every time a person leaves the house. I have tapped into the government resources to support peoples problems.

UPDATE: We can do a better job of welcoming and enjoying our guests. The DTP has spent so much time and energy getting AMAZING people here to visit through the speaker series events, yet getting people to see the vision has been threatened.

>> Create the co-working capital of the world.. Funny thing was 11.11.11 I read about Zappos putting their books in a library that was open to the public for Free on Thursday nights. I started coming to the Tech Lib with the goal of learning how to build an ecomm website like Zappos, learn . I knew that was going to be easier than co-working with so I watched

The first thing I saw was co-working with the global community receiving United States Federal Funding for the fight against AIDS.

>> Create the co-working capital of the world….when you don’t have a home base or comfort work zone with internet access you take the time to seek out spots and see different ways to make money if only we were working ...I have been waiting and waiting to see the efforts people make to get out and work with each other. People need to know that if we don’t work together sustaining capital to be able to afford a WORLD VIEW trip won't be in reach. I have taken the time to seek places to co work with a coordinated plan and strategy.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!

My focus is SUSTAINABILITY and how can we keep people there making money happily and so far SOOOOOO good. I have met several of the owners some better than others but EACH person has been pretty happy. I am concerned for the vape store the management is in california and does not empower their people at all and all those that I met who work there are super awesome.

I LOVE CONTAINER PARK...I have created them as a key strategy on the WalkTalkWalk GOMOJO I’mpossible Community and Self discovery mission.

I think it ended up costing more than thought so not sure if this is part of "revitalization" formula or not
