January 2015 To all my family and friends

Post date: Jan 22, 2015 11:35:59 PM

Subject: To all my family and friends,As most of you know, I've been relentlessly fighting against the pandemic increasing rate of new HIV/AIDS infections, since July of 2011 when President Obama’s made a call for action to all American leaders to stand up and FOCUS ON THE HARDEST HIT DEMOGRAPHICS AFFECTED AT GROSSLY DISPROPORTIONATE RATES, in particular young Black American males and women and members of the military. Obama directed us to analyze and apply the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statistics and approved science evidence based strategies to BUSH Jr. 58 Billion dollars allocated into PEPFAR policy and other global funding partners, ie WHO, UNAID, etc.By 11.11.11-I knew there was a great need for mobilizing condoms, medications and linkage to care for those infected with HIV/AIDS and that MOJO LIFESAVER Condom Keychain holder health product linked to an online resource directory, I could change the world from my laptop.

Did you know that

Between 40,000 to 60,000 people in the US are newly infected with HIV every year?

Half of those newly infected are under the age of 25?

25% of those newly infected do not know it?

Despite advancement made in treatment and prevention in HIV, the overall rate of infection continues to rise and we are LOSING THE WAR on AIDS in the United States?

AIDS in Black America is a civil rights issue?

What some of you don’t know is over the past three+ years I followed nearly $500 billion dollars allocated and spent over the past 30 years to fight AIDS. I have a clear understanding that AIDS in Black America is a civil rights issue much more than anything else. The good news is President Obama and his administration has changed setting benchmarks for outcomes and programmatic efficiencies through regularly assessed planning and reporting processes to ensure goals are being met. Along the way I have met and built meaningful connections with AMAZING leaders, freedom fighting activists, key informants, positive opinion leaders on the ground here in our amazing city and in the Downtown Las Vegas community. I have faced and overcame fear; tackling the enormous challenges in fixing the problems I uncovered ranging from corruption, misuse of funds, over worked and underpaid people, disengagement, haters, etc. and knew that if I wanted to make real change to t all I had to lay it all out on the line.

I was given the golden opportunity to stand on the shoulders of a few giants and pave the way to change the world by making strategic, scientifically sound investments to rapidly scale-up core HIV prevention, treatment and care interventions and maximize impact for our local community to work together as one team because it TAKES A “HEALTHY” VILLAGE TO RAISE “HEALTHY” CHILDREN

I used a LONG list of what NOT TO DO and four models of WHAT TO DO as my core foundation :

1. MARKETING: Google Panda search results ranking algorithm for GOMOJO’s online viral marketing stratey through creating high quality conent combined with www.zappos.com 57 product placement categor

ies MOJO Lifesavers qualified as a fit. ie wallets to hiking gear.

2. COMPANY CULTURE AND RECRUITMENT: - Team Zappos commitment to core values, training process and the ability to not only survive but thrive in Las Vegas, NV, under the Federal Governments watch and without gaming as revenue and (hopefully my future team members)

3. BUSINESS PLAN AND FRAMEWORK: www.PEPFAR.gov the United States Federal Government global strategy and blueprint for AIDS-FREE Generation. I used the 4 roadmaps to layout the business plan, use as a platform and developed it into the GOMOJOs framework

4 SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE BASED PROGRAMS WITH PROVEN RESULTS FOR SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE SEXUAL HEALTH STRATEGIES- I used the Navy Marine Corps Public Health Departments approach to transparency and openness to the high rate of sexually transmitted.

What’s the deal with me and AIDS?

My best friend in first grade is a Black women with a Black son under 25, my best friend since the 7th grade is a Black and I have been part of her family since, and I have three black kids two are mixed and I helped raise one AMAZING Black step son now 22, 19, and 14 years old and I am very close to their father’s family.

In the mid 90’s, my Grandma Reed told me that 7 or of our friends of and family members, 4 of her adult children, had “that disease” (AIDS.) Over a 19 years she and my Uncle were hesitant to tell me, afraid of what my reaction would be, and in 2007 my Uncle was near death with full blown AIDS didn’t want to hug me, holding back warning me he had “that disease” finally but I told him it was fine and what he had didn't change the way I felt about him as a person. My hug and support meant the world to him.

What’s the deal with me Zappos and Tony?

By August of 2012, I spent endless hours in the #VEGASTECH usr/lib reading the books ZAPPOS donated to our community, disseminated 1,000’s of pages, documents, policy, stats and global research and and laid it out on www.themojobags.com and launched the site After a year and ½ researching and talking with Josh, at The Center, I had the courage to finally talk to my mother in law about her status and let her know that I knew all along but never let her say it because I didn’t want her to think that I would be hesitate around her or worry about her with my babies. We talked at great lengths and she answered 100’s of questions I had that represent GOMOJO Project9 and the strategy to AIDS-FREE GENERATION.

By September 2012 I knew I couldn’t take the site and global research any further, I set up Google analytics and applied a 100.00 free google ad coupon with an under 10.00 or so a day budget. I then began training myself on learning graphics for MOJO design labels and coding for e commerce purchases. I resisted checking the analytics for three weeks into September and when I did I couldn’t believe my eyes, the site hit 185 countries and over 400,000 hits, I knew Pakistan had a serious problem with new infections of HIV/AIDS before it was public.

One tech Thursday I was encouraged and convinced by one of the Romotive team members to participate in the community events and initiatives Tony Hsieh was building in Downtown Las Vegas for all of us to be part of (I thought it was exclusive to Zappos)

Lacking the boundaries of a child combined with intellect of a genius confidence, I convinced myself and kids that alls I needed to do was nail down the online shopping cart, social media accounts and graphic designs for our viral ecommerce business and I convinced Vickie that she and I could partner up and she would be our face and voice of change throughout the Black community, making the calls needed for action to those in charge of government fundi

ng. All agreements were contingent on a promise to look for and get a job until MOJO could support us.

October 2012 I parked my Landrover, packed up my house and moved my kids and I in with family. I made The Beat homebase and rode the bus, walked and rode my bike throughout Las Vegas, to the strip, pool parties, clubs, skate parks, college campus, strip clubs, etc. etc.

November 2012 I mapped out a SWOT analysis strategy and began following, researching, learning about each investment and I sent Team Zappos and Downtown Project a video and email letting them know I was here on the ground and how I could help. I began my civil duty and responsibility by volunteering and attending any event I could ranging from

Speaker Series

Tech Cocktail

First Friday

The Center

Public Health Department

UNLV-Fraternities, Sororities, SODA, Spectrum, etc etc etc

Las Vegas Co Workers Opp

Gender Justice of Nevada

PTA

I applied for countless positions across the entire Downtown Project and Vegas Tech Fund teams and investments and for each position I applied for that matched my abilities, I did the work for just in case I got an interview for one of the MANY positions I applied for ranging from everything from Economics marketing team to Zachs finance tracking position to Downtown Projects marketing team, operations, analytics, etc.

My mother in law died March of 2013.. Since then, I've vowed to myself that I will do whatever I can to fight the disease that took his life. That's why I'm asking you all to sponsor me for the Palm Springs AIDS Walk. I really can't thank you enough for giving to this important cause. No matter what you decide Through ground level to global community statistics innovative and cross-cutting initiatives will bring together all community stakeholders, private sectors and philanthropies, businesses both small, medium and large, governors, mayors, donor nations, faith leaders, nonprofit, government, community and health based organizations, tech leaders, people living with HIV, foundations, multilateral institutions, civil society advocates, etc. that are committed to helping our community succeed.

February 2014 President Obama announced My Brother’s Keeper which means so much to me providing many of the solutions we needed to equal out the playing field for people of color, helping us overcome the challenges behind HIV/AIDS and innovative holistic approach to end stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV and key populations, improving their access to, and uptake of, comprehensive HIV services. And as President Obama remarked why investing money into new initiatives aimed at helping and ensuring young men and women and boys and girls of color facing tough odds to reach their full potential is the only way, "America can reach its full potential."

Summer of 2014 SERENDIPITY finally happened for me at a Tech Cocktail event at the window, I met Fusae and she is GENIUS and came up with a way to for GOMOJO to be organized in a way we could meaningfully make a difference in the Las Vegas community and bring the city of Las Vegas into an #AIDSFREEGEN, collaboratively through a deep understanding of filling the gaps and engaging our community the development of GOMOJO PROJECT9 came about...GOMOJO11 is in the works so stay tuned for more.

We put together a systematic detailed plan of action and hand delivered it to the Mayor Goodman, and boy was she impressed and supportive.
