TECHNOLOGY
We’ve built a scalable way to publish thousands of social media posts per second and obtain analytics for how those posts have done. Our main application and API is built with a PHP backend and Backbone.js front-end, hosted on AWS.
We’ve built web extensions for the major browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) and have an iOS (4.5 rating) and Android app (4.3 rating) to make it easy for our customers to add to their Buffer.
We’ve built our own high throughput event tracking framework and data ETL pipeline to help us be data driven in our decisions. We’ve also developed a simple yet powerful A/B test framework which helps us learn from experiments. We use our Jenkins continuous integration server heavily for unit testing, cron jobs and alerting.
