empty colors
mpty colors
By Julia Ong
To hide her shame, she wears color like a mask
But isn’t her soul golden?
How did her eyes become so dark?
So dead?
Her face still gleams with radiant shades of red, orange and yellow
The beautiful, beaming shades of red and yellow are shadowed by the black and blue in her heart.
To hide her shame, she wears color like a mask
convincing everyone her soul remains golden.
