Bloody, suspenseful, angsty

Utterly human at heart

the beating heart

ripped out of an actual human

I love the thriller

action packed

serial killer

stories

from Jason to Carrie

to Freddie to Hannibal

Zombies, ghosts, demons

The horrible

techni-colored blood scenes

flashing across my electronic screen

often distract me

I become so afraid

of the demon in my closet

that I forget about my failing grades

I feel so queasy about the guy cut in half

I forget to feel sick about that paper due tomorrow

I am able to distract myself

from my own self

by taking in the nightmares of others
