This is my girlfriend
She looks happy without a care in the world
She is glad to be with me and all of her friends
She is also a way better skater than me
She is an Olympic gold medalist
As she shreds the ice
Here I am
I am not that happy that we went ice skating
I cannot ice skate at all
It’s as if I was a toddler learning how to walk
For the very first time falling all over the place
My girlfriend would laugh when I’d fall
Her face would be filled with laughter
But that didn’t stop me
I would keep falling until I got it
But not after I had fallen on my ass 100 times
She offers her help
But I refuse
I want to learn on my own
This is me
I’ve been falling a lot
So my body is sore like I just got hit by a car
But it was all worth it
All the pain, all the frustration
As now I can skate
With my girl
