I am human,

I make mistakes,

My hands get dirty,

My words get sloppy,

And my bones get achy.

I am human,

I am dramatic,

I am sensitive,

And sometimes I feel like I have the weight of the world on my own two shoulders.

I am human,

I get sad,

I scream,

I cry,

My anger will spin my thoughts into a tornado

And there are things I swear I just can’t handle.

I am human,

Your words can hurt me,

Your actions have an impact,

And sometimes my insecurities will put a dent into our relationship.

I am human,

I doubt myself,

I talk myself down,

And sometimes I really hate the reflection staring back at me in the mirror.

I am human,

My thoughts are my own worst enemy,

And I am the one person I fear.

I am human,

I am constantly changing,

And my heart is never one hundred percent sure of what it wants.

I am human,

And despite everything,

I know the only thing that matters is the person I believe I am.

I am human

And just like you

I am beautiful.
