1. Ermm... don't mind me asking... is there anyway to give advance notice to parents in future?
Angeline only inform last Saturday.
2. The craft materials and preparation (cut out the parts) <-- Who is doing? I can see it is establishing... if we can get weekend librarians to cut and prepare will be good also.
Depends on storytellers.
a. Mine - I prepared
b. Amanda - Just prepared materials, parents help child to cut it ( which I prefer from now on, more interaction between parents & children)
c. Angeline - requested me to prepare on craft part as she has other parts to take care. Which I'm fine too.

Get ready the records.
Important Timeline
10 - 23/2 Samuel to work with Yin Hui to get all the books wrapped up.
24 & 25/2 Lee Na to sort out books.
26/2 Mr Samuel to check through.
Mr Lim and Ms Pam (FunGates) are approaching the FunGates schools to donate books to our Library.
School is to bank in to Foundation account in order to get tax-exempt receipt, FunCreations will bill Foundation, from there Foundation will make the payment to FunCreations. The amount in bill will be lesser than the figure that school banked in.
Yin Hui is checking with Ms Pam on how to follow up on this matter, by right they are to follow up because they will know better which school have ordered the book. As for our part, once we received any donation we must notify them. She will find out more for us.
Here is the link of order form from FunCreations.
By the way, Auntie Clarine has decided not to put a sticker on the donated books to avoid too much of admin works added on.
The library can be opened for public with limitation,
2 people per table (safe distancing).
No chit-chatting.
There will be tight supervision from our side.
The log-in system for borrowing of books, can be just getting a phone to take picture of the person holding the book; erase it when the book is returned.
We will have every person to have their own book to record books read, later to implement our rewards system.
Some comments from Yue Shan:
Can increase to 6 books in line with Malaysia public library numbers.
Instead of card, we can give an exercise books for kids to write themselves the title of books.
Reward if they can achieve 100 books. Aim high and name will be on the board in the library.
Does not matter if they even read... More to encourage kids to open a book.
(cos most kids I encounter don't want to go into the library on their own free will or have aversion to Books).
I give a sticker, when they can answer some questions related to the book. To show that they read. This is for a different level. For my 4 year olds.. I considered the book is read, when they can point to an alphabet. I set very low goal at first.. Before I get them to summarize...
*Above are just suggestions from my previous experience with the refugee kids in Malaysia.
