Hi team, on Monday onwards, we will place a small white table in front of our distribution point in order to cut down the close contact with the recipients. So this is how we are going to do:
1. Check their card and bags entitled - have them leave it on a small tray.
2. Place it on the white table, at the same time telling them "This is for you, you may have this / you may take".
3. Recipients to get their bags from the table.
4. Say thank you and Bye Bye with SMILE. 😁
Terima kasih banyak banyak.

From Yin Hui:
Dear all, thank you for all the hard works of packing and unloading the rice last Friday. 👏🏻Time flies! Tomorrow onwards we wil start distributing our CNY Blessing bags! 🥰
In order to boost up the CNY atmosphere, kindly wear red or any CNY related colors, such as red, yellow, purple, orange etc. Thank you @Paul‘s help to set up the speaker to play CNY songs throughout the distribution.
For those who wil be helping in Hospitality room, few things to take note:
Each recipient to receive:
1. A bag of 5kg rice (with LOW sticker)
2. One blessing bag (to add 2 tangerines and a bag Lap Cheong into each bag)
3. An angpow
4. Children’s angpow (refer to the list, only for those names are highlighted)
➡️ Lap Cheong (Chinese sausage) is only for Chinese recipient, because we have found out that Indian don't really like it.
➡️ Every bag will have 1 angpow. For example if the recipient is entitled to 2 bags will have 2 angpows and it wil pass hand to hand; Children’s angpow are to put into the bag.
Only Tracy, Yue Shan and Yin Hui are authorized to hold the angpow.
Thank you. See you guys tmr! 🤗
From Samuel:
Everyone except the teachers, gather at 9.45am for a short orientation. Meanwhile I understand that these are the things to get ready in the morning:
- Load up the bags to trolley, call list and set up table. Half an hour should be enough.
- Paul is to set up the speaker to play CNY songs (mentioned above). Rebekah will assist Yue Shan.
Chinese New Year Blessing Bags (Initial Plan):
Blessing Bags: Oil, tooth brush (1 set with 4 pcs) & tooth paste... and other groceries / supplies.
Replace Love on Wheels items - about RM15 with CNY special items.
CNY special items: Lap cheong (to get InTouch to sponsor), tangerine, CNY biscuits / cookies, peanuts, lychee can and chrysanthemum drink (1L).
Ang pows - To get from sponsors.
Distribution, give out as Christmas Blessing Bags.
445 in total + 30 from Chi Service + 25 FSF staff & Soup Kitchen workers.
Decorate the place @Hospitality Room.
Samuel's Email to Auntie Clarine:
Dear Auntie Clarine,
Understand from Yin Hui that we need to have a fallback plan for the Chinese New Year Blessing Bags, in case Nobel is not open up.
I am thinking of getting InTouch to pledge for the CNY Blessing Bags as in the past - RM25 per bag, RM100 will be for 4 bags. Our aim is 500 bags. Then, Nobel's monthly contribution for Blessing Bags (RM7,500) we can put it aside as standby.
Meanwhile, every year, Nobel will contribute 5kg rice (1,000 bags) for Love on Wheels (which costs RM10K). Is it ok if we write to Nobel for 500 bags of 5kg rice this year, to be given with the Blessing Bags. And the balance of the money, we pack a RM10 angpow every recipient.
As for the angpows, we can always contact our previous angpow givers to Soup Kitchen and Dialysis Center, instead of just approaching Nobel.
Kindly advice if this is possible.
As for the NewKidz and Squad 7, I am still thinking shall we find a way to give them an angpow, just wanting to get connected with them and deliver happiness to them.
God bless,
Samuel
