Lovely lively bar/restaurant full of locals.
Lunch includes Steak Tartaar... one of the best! The Tartaar is super fresh and prepared with just the right amount of the usual condiments, and the frites are top quality.
The bar & table service is impeccable and friendly. Atmosphere is bustling, real old style bar/resto, with drinking at the bar. There is the local Anosteke beer on tap, along with St Bernardus from just across the border, plus Gouden Carolus from further into Belgium.
The only negative for me, are the two screens in the bar, playing music vids, the place has so much natural atmosphere, and these screens add nothing but a unneccessary distraction.
Apart from this one small complaint, I highly recommend a visit when in beautiful Bergues.
